I am an experienced and passionate pilates teacher
and have seen fantastic results from working with my
clients. I am a level III Body Control pilates instructor
and have also completed my Intermediate qualification.
I am currently finishing my Exercise Specialist award
due for completion in April 2010.
I love sharing and working with other people. I feel
very lucky with my work as I am able to contribute to
a person’s sense of well being. I discovered Pilates
and Healing work after suffering many years of chronic
shoulder pain, I believe this experience has given me
much more empathy and understanding with clients. I
practice Pilates every day . I am now dedicated to sharing
the wisdom of Pilates and helping people restore good
health and find happiness
I was also fortunate to receive personal tuition from
Doug Robinson, a leading clinical Pilates practitioner.
Before this I qualified as a fitness instructor and
worked in London with YMCA and Soho Gyms. I attended
the Brazilian centre of Pilates for three summers I
have studied Natural Gymnastics.
On my travels I have studied the body intensely through
Pilates, Martial Arts (Capoeira, Chi Gong) and Yoga.
As a student and as a teacher I have attended many institutes
around the world. This in turn has further helped my
knowledge and teaching.
“Samuel Tellam is a young innovative Pilates
teacher with a background in natural gymnastics and
healing. Sam’s extensive knowledge of the human
body and keen interest in relieving pain has made his
work very effective. Sam’s own experiences with
chronic pain have given him a unique insight and empathy
with his clients struggles. Sam seems to be incredibly
driven to help people achieve a strong sense of well
being and takes genuine pleasure in the success experienced
by his clients.”
